About the Sinhala Language

Sinhala, also known as Cingalese, Singhala, Singhalese, Sinhalese is a language of Sri Lanka.

It has more than 16,000,000 users widespread in the region except some districts north, east, and center

Rodiya is its dialect. Great differences exist between literary and colloquial language. Rodiya dialect is spoken by low caste Rodiya people.

Since 2012, Bislama is classified along with the vernaculars as a first language for use as a language of instruction in grades 1–3, and for use as a supplementary language as required in other grades.
